Most engagements begin in one of three situations.
You have an idea for an app, a connected product or a web service. We take it from prototype and architecture through to launch and operation. The result is a stable product and a codebase that is built to evolve.
A senior developer or architect joins your team, directly or through a partner, and takes ownership of the hard parts – architecture, real-time, devices or cloud, for example. We share what we know as we go, so the knowledge stays with your team when the engagement ends.
We look at the security of what you already have, with a focus on architecture, code and configuration. You get a written picture of the risks and concrete recommendations in order of priority, so you know what to tackle first.

We write the code ourselves, from the interface to the infrastructure. That means fewer handovers and a shorter path to something that works.
Native and cross-platform apps that are fast, keep working when the connection drops, and can be developed further year after year.
Software for devices and sensors that have to work outside the office – with Bluetooth, wireless communication and secure updates, for example.
Event-driven systems and APIs that handle load and deliver data to apps and the web at exactly the right moment.

In our own products, everything is down to us – from code and design to operations and the next release.
A web app for bakeries and kitchens, with recipes, live baking sessions and an AI assistant that answers questions in the kitchen. The service runs for a closed group of invited users – get in touch if you would like to try it.

An iPhone app for paraglider and hang glider pilots. It connects to the variometer over Bluetooth and shows climb rate, altitude and glide ratio in real time. It also offers thermal maps and airspace warnings – and the warnings work even without a network connection. Flights are logged automatically and can be exported in IGC format, and others can follow a flight live.

Karla Digital is a small software development company led by its founder. Alongside our consulting work, we build and run our own products. That means we see every project both through the client’s eyes and through the eyes of whoever has to live with the product after launch.
We take responsibility for the whole and speak up when something won’t hold.
